Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a qualified FACS teacher to join our family of educators. The position is a ten-month, full-time role starting immediately, reporting to the principal and supervising aides and volunteers.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, creating a productive classroom environment, guiding students toward curriculum goals, assessing progress, and collaborating with colleagues and parents.

• Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher assistant(s) and/or volunteer(s), and cooperatively with department heads, evaluates their job performance.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SUPERVISES: Teacher aide and volunteers assigned

JOB GOAL: To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women.

Ten-month year. Salary and work year to be

according to the current schedule.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually for tenured and semi-annually for evaluation of professional personnel.
