Job summary

The U.S.-Immigration-and-Customs-Enforcement (ICE) seeks a Health Training Program Coordinator to develop and manage staff training across IHSC health care facilities, ensuring accreditation standards are met and compliance considerations are addressed.

This role supports risk management, quality improvement, infection control, emergency preparedness, BLS certification, fit testing, training records, and reporting to sustain effective operations in a demanding detention environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor staff training programs at IHSC health care facilities.
• Oversee accreditation readiness, compliance training, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control.
• Lead emergency preparedness, BLS certification, fit testing, training records, reporting, and special Health Operations Unit projects.

Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring staff training programs at IHSC health care facilities. Oversees accreditation readiness, compliance training, risk management, quality improvement, infection control, emergency preparedness, BLS certification, fit testing, training records, reporting, and special Health Operations Unit projects.

This position is only open to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. This position is considered hazardous duty in a detention setting.
2. Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance.
3. Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile.
4. Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds.
5. Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
6. Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
7. Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary.
8. Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
9. Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations
