• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and facility requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is currently looking for a Facility Technician to join their team! As a Facility Technician I you will perform hands on operations. This is a great opportunity for college students or recent high school grads wanting to gain some work experience.

Pay and Schedule

• Shift: Swing Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
• Starting Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Swing-Shift Differential: Additional $1.75 per hour
• Total Swing-Shift Pay: $24.75 per hour
• Overtime may be required during the week and on weekends as needed

Responsibilities

Position Overview

This is a hands-on drum-pumping position responsible for safely consolidating liquid waste for shipment through the facility’s rail spur.

Key Responsibilities

• Pump liquids from drums into designated tanks using a 2-inch air-operated diaphragm pump
• Consolidate liquids for shipment through the rail spur
• Pull tracking labels and scan them to the appropriate receiving tanks
• Collect samples from drums
• Consolidate sludge safely and efficiently
• Load empty drums into designated trailers
• Operate a forklift; certification will be provided on-site
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and facility requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ Years of related experience;
• Fork lift experience preferred (Not Required);
• Ability to use computer;
