Job summary

Goodwill North Central Texas in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a full-time cleaning associate to service and clean facilities, floors, restrooms, and common areas. You will follow procedures for cleaning solutions and safety, and report maintenance needs to supervisors.

Primary duties include trash removal, window cleaning, floor stripping and polishing, dusting, and stocking supplies. The role demands physical stamina and reliable adherence to Goodwill policies and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms; clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash; follow procedures for chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors with soapy water or cleaners.
• Notify managers concerning major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.

Locations:Goodwill North Central Texas --- 4005 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, Texas

Salary: $14.82 per hour

Work Hours:FT (40 Hrs. per Week) Typical start time of 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

General Job Duties:Service, clean, or supply restrooms; clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; gather and empty trash; follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures; mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications; clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees; notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems; requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties; dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment; strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Adheres to Goodwill and departmental policies and procedures. Other duties as requested.

Specific Requirements: Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Preference for performing routine and repetitive duties.

Physical Requirements:Physical stamina is needed to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Walking, standing for prolonged periods of time, stooping, reaching and pulling, pushing, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching with your body, arms, and legs; throughout the working day.
