Goodwill North Central Texas is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician in Fort Worth, TX to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations. You will read diagrams, perform basic repairs, coordinate with outside contractors, and maintain accurate records.
The role includes driving to worksites and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Salary: Based on experience
Work Hours:Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

General Job Duties: Provides routine inspection and maintenance of facilities and equipment to ensure the continuity of the operation. Responsible for the emergency repairs of facilities and equipment as needed to provide safe and reliable workstations. Coordinates minor repairs, installations, and modifications, that due to equipment, time, and complexity, require an outside contractor. Constructs and/or installs equipment and/or structures by using basic skills such as carpentry, welding, electrical, pipefitting, painting, etc. Purchases essential supplies to support facility and equipment repairs. Makes timely repairs on facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Conducts basic troubleshooting and repairs on common maintenance issues. Follows established work orders and procedures to ensure efficient task completion. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and reports any findings to supervisors. Operates an Agency vehicle to travel to various worksites. Other duties as assigned, such as those that enable the success of the overall Facility Management and Asset Protection department.
Skills/Qualifications: At least two (2) years’ experience in basic principles of carpentry, welding, electrical, pipefitting, and related equipment operation, with a proven record of accomplishment of the assigned tasks is preferred. Must be able to read and interpret diagrams, instructions, etc., and perform mathematical functions. Basic computer skills preferred, such as starting and shutting down a computer and performing simple operations. Must be able to write at a proficient level to complete essential duties such as departmental record keeping and repair documentation.
Physical Requirements:Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and lift 50 pounds. Must be sufficiently mobile to move between buildings in all types of weather, work in the entire facility, and travel between facilities, as a driver and/or passenger. The environment includes noise, dust, and fumes. Must be able to work in extremes of cold and heat both inside and outside buildings.
Legal Requirements:Documentation to satisfy I-9, Valid State-issued Driver's License, ability to pass drug screen, MVR, physical, and background check.
