Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking a Facility Technician B in Kansas to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions on a wide variety of process, delivery, and facility equipment.

The role requires diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and using tools such as multi-meters and infrared scanners. The technician will coordinate with contractors and document activities in the MM software.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification plus formal technical training, including electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers or other manufacturing technology applications.
  • Must have a functional understanding in blueprint reading, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Specific documented experience of service work directly related to this field and demonstrated ability can be substituted for this requirement if the candidate has a minimum of 5 years electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers or other manufacturing technology applications in their previous employment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of process facility equipment using electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical expertise.
  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and reports findings to leadership.
  • Use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and infrared scanners for servicing equipment.
  • Coordinate and/or perform assigned work with contractors and maintenance personnel to ensure proper repairs with minimal impact on operations.
  • Maintain open communications with supervision and customer departments and document activities in the Maintenance Management software.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

To analyze, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions on a wide variety of process, delivery and facility equipment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of process facility equipment. Technician must be able to apply electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical expertise and troubleshooting aptitude to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on equipment and reports findings regarding additional work and repairs to leadership.
  • Requires the ability to use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as “multi-meters”, infrared scanning equipment and other tools necessary for servicing applicable equipment.
  • Coordinates and/or performs assigned work. Works with contractors and other maintenance personnel if necessary to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations.
  • Maintains open communications with supervision and customer department personnel. Documents all activities and departmental procedural requirements within the Maintenance Management software.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education

Experience

Working Conditions

Somewhat disagreeable due to temperatures, dust, machinery related fluids and uncomfortable working positions. Must not be afraid of heights up to 30 ft., and be able to work overhead and in confined spaces.
