Job description

Job Title

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a First-Shift Facility Technician for our Lowell, MA team. In this role, you will work on a team to help lead and unload hazardous waste safely at the facility.

Triumvirate Environmental provides diverse services and advice to leading institutions in higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors to assist with compliance management. We foster a culture of growth, development, education, and creativity.

This position reports to the onsite Manager and is based in Lowell, MA. The hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30AM - 2PM, with routine overtime.

Responsibilities:

1. Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review
2. Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks
3. Manage waste inventory using Triumvirate-designed software and tracking systems
4. Learn and retain knowledge of daily work practices
5. Familiarize with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
6. Understand OSHA regulations, Triumvirate's Health and Safety Practices, Part B permit, and EPA regulations
7. Communicate effectively with facilities and colleagues to resolve issues
8. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients
9. Become forklift trained and operate machinery safely
10. Participate in on-call emergency response duties (optional)

Basic Requirements:

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Basic knowledge or desire to learn about the hazardous waste industry
• Valid driver's license
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Reliable transportation
• Consent to background checks, drug screening, and physical assessments
• Ability to lift 60 pounds regularly
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours
• Comfortable handling hazardous chemicals and biological waste, with proper PPE

Preferred Requirements:

• Relevant industry experience
• Over 1 year of hazardous waste industry experience
• Forklift operation experience
• CDL license preferred but not required
