Mercy Fort Smith seeks a Facility Systems Tech III to operate, maintain, and repair complex building systems in a healthcare setting. You will manage boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing tasks, ensuring safe environments for patients and staff.
The role requires 4+ years of commercial experience, EPA universal certification, and licenses as required by Mercy locations. A strong customer-service focus and ability to read and follow technical manuals are essential.
This is a highly skilled position requiring advanced knowledge of boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, control system maintenance and operation, plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and painting. The skills required for this position will allow the incumbent to resolve repair issues independently with little to no supervision. The position will support small and midsize hospitals, critical access hospitals, small inpatient/outpatient facilities, and clinics. The Facility Systems Technician provides the necessary skill to operate, maintain, and repair various electrical/plumbing systems, movable equipment, physical plant equipment, furniture, walls, ceilings, and floors. Utilizes exceptional customer service and communication skills. The purpose of this position is to ensure a safe working environment and support an exceptional Environment of Care for Mercy.

Licensure:
Experience: 4 or more years commercial experience working with HVAC, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
Certification/Registration:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 or more years of training in a Technical or Vocational School.
Licensure: Boiler, HVAC, or Refrigeration. Electrical and/or Plumbing.
Experience: 5 or more years working in a facility maintenance position within a healthcare environment
