Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks a Facility Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource and Design Authority for facility infrastructure within the Computational Complex. You will oversee operation/maintenance, configuration control, and preventive/predictive maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

You will lead design reviews, manage costs, coordinate external work, and ensure ES&H and QA requirements are met while collaborating with a diverse

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least five years of experience in facility systems, operations and maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC systems and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, installation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and HVAC installations.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance systems and processes.
• Coordinate outside contract work for construction or repair.
• Lead pre-job meetings and schedule maintenance activities and outages.
• Write Scopes of Work and act as Technical Project Officer for purchases and services.
