Job summary

CS Power Systems, a division of Canadian Solar, is seeking a Facility Supervisor II in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The role leads maintenance of complex facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and cleanroom systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operations.

You will plan and execute maintenance programs, manage projects with vendors, and guide a team to uphold high manufacturing standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, MAU/RAU, scrubbers, chillers, boilers, waste management, electrical systems, cleanroom controls).
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all facility systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage facility improvement projects with contractors and vendors.

Position Title: Facility SupervisorII

Department: Facility

Reports To: FacilityManager

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

The FacilitySupervisorIIwill report to the Facility Manager. Willassistinoverseeingandmaintainingthe establishment and ongoing operations ofthe company’sgrounds,buildingsand equipment to ensure thatthe workspaceis safe and functional. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, HVAC,scrubbers, water treatment systems,electrical systems, factory layout, and a thorough understanding of local laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

Facility Management

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems,includingHVAC systems, MAU, RAU, Scrubbers, Chillers, Boilers, Chemical and Waste Management, electrical systems, cleanroom environment (Temperature & Humidity Control and Pressure Control), UPW, PCW, Vacuum & CDA system and specialty gases and chemicals.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all facility systems.
• Ensure the facility system is consistent operating atoptimumlevel.

Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and manage facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines, and report on project progress.

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits toidentifymaintenance needs and potential improvements.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure that all facility operationscomply withlocal, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments toidentifyand mitigate potential hazards.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Energy and Waste Management:
• Monitor and manage energy consumption to promote sustainability and reduce costs.
• Identifyand implement energy-saving initiatives and best practices.
• Track and analyze utility usage and costs, andreport onenergy efficiency.
• Monitor and manage waste generated to ensure compliancetoEPA requirements

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities, facility inspections, and equipment performance.
• Prepare and present reports on facility operations, maintenance, and project status.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Vendor and Contractor Management:
• Coordinate and oversee the work of external vendors and contractors.
• Review and approve service contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service quality meets facility standards.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with facility staff, management, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational goals.
• Provide training and support to staff on facility-related procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ora relatedfield.
• 5+years ofexperience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role.
• Ability to lead a team ina fast-pacedhigh-techmanufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
• Proficiencyin facility management software and tools.
• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)).
• Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or facility type.
• Proficiencyin both English and Mandarin is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
• Willingnessto continuously learn and update skills.

Working Conditions

Standard office environment with frequent visits to facility areas and production environments.

May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.

May involve working outside of regular hours to address facility issues or oversee projects.
