Job summary

CS Power Systems in Jeffersonville, Indiana, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations on continental shifts. You will oversee daily production, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience, strong Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. A technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work a continental shift (12-hour rotating shifts).
  • Proven ability to lead with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Problem-solving using Fishbone, 5 Whys, RCA.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, solution-oriented.
  • High school diploma; engineering/technical degree preferred.
  • Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Position Title: ProductionSupervisor

Department: Production

Reports To: Production Manager

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision and coordination duties of production staff in such areas as quality, customers’ satisfaction, scheduling, production of shift activity reports, ensuring machinery and equipment are safe and employees are trained and qualified, and other duties as required to be carried out in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. The Production Supervisor must perform a range of duties supporting managers and directing shift staff to ensure profitable business operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Production Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives, communicate expectations clearly, and monitor performance against established targets.
  • Organize workflow and allocate manpower to optimize productivity while ensuring employees understand their assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Monitor employee productivity, provide coaching and constructive feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with Process, Equipment, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and other cross-functional departments to achieve production and business objectives.
  • Communicate production performance, shift results, and operational issues during shift handovers and management meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and promote a strong safety culture throughout the production area.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained, certified, and qualified before operating machinery or performing assigned tasks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production and technical issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment effectiveness.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production performance, efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Knowledge & Capacity Management
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all manufacturing processes and accurately calculate the theoretical production capacity of each process.
  • Understand the capacity limitations and bottlenecks of each process step to effectively analyze capacity losses, coordinate production flow, and optimize line balancing.
  • Understand the cycle time of each manufacturing process and the overall production cycle time across the entire production line.
  • During production stoppages or line restarts, accurately estimate:
    • Line clearance time.
    • Time required from first wafer input to final product output.
    • Production recovery timelines to support manpower planning, production scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify the primary factors contributing to capacity losses within the Screen Printing process.
  • Analyze root causes using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, improve yield, reduce downtime, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Monitor process performance, identify efficiency gaps, and recommend sustainable process improvements.
Process Control & Material Management
  • Improve material lifetime through effective process control, preventive maintenance practices, and process optimization.
  • Monitor and optimize material consumption while minimizing material waste and process losses.
  • Perform and verify material inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy and eliminate discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain robust inventory control, reconciliation, and verification procedures to ensure material traceability and inventory integrity.
Leadership & People Development
  • Set performance goals and deadlines that align with company objectives and effectively communicate expectations to team members.
  • Build a high-performing team through leadership, coaching, mentoring, and employee development.
  • Foster positive working relationships while promoting employee engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement development plans to improve team capability and operational excellence.
Other Responsibilities
  • Complete other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentandassociatesdegree or above.
  • Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Able toworka continental shift schedule (e.g., 12-hour rotating shifts).
  • Proven ability to lead with sensitivity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand a wide range of production roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office,including:Excel (basic spreadsheets and formulas), PowerPoint (basic presentation building), Outlook (email/calendar/task tracking).
  • Problem-solving experience using Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and solution-oriented.
  • High school diplomarequired; a degree in engineering, technical, or related field is preferred.
  • Mandarin language skills are an asset but notrequired.
Health & Safety:
  • To Participate in the Company’s Health & Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental programs
  • Ensure all internal safety policies and legislation are followed as part of Due Diligence
  • Monitor any injuries, and complete paperwork asrequired.
  • Participate in workplace inspections onmonthlybasis asrequired.
  • Attend all safety training asrequired.
  • Must have working knowledge of all safety legislation and follow all health and safety policies.
  • Ensure all employees followcompany’shealth and safety policies and procedures and report all violations.
Working Conditions:
  • Standard office environment with frequent visits to facility areas and production environments.
  • May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.
  • May involve working outside of regular hours to address facility issues or oversee projects.
