Job summary

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking a part-time Facility Supervisor for Harris Park Community Center to help oversee daily operations, provide patron services, handle data entry and cash transactions, and support maintenance and safety.

The role includes supervising part-time staff, opening/closing the facility, coordinating rentals and classes, and ensuring a welcoming, well-run community space.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in customer service.
• Basic First Aid and CPR/AED within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary contact for patron services and inquiries.
• Maintains patron databases and performs data entry.
• Processes financial transactions and balances daily receipts.
• Monitors facility operations, rentals, and classes.
• Opens and/or closes the facility and related services.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the facility.
• Keeps records and files related to facility operations.
• Enforces LSPR rules and attends staff meetings.
• Assists with other Parks and Recreation transactions as needed.

Responsible for the monitoring of the entire facility, including patrons and operations, in the absence of full-time supervisors.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Serves as primary point of contact for patron services. Assists patrons with inquires, registrations, and other related needs.2. Creates, maintains and performs data entry into a large variety of patron databases.3. Processes financial transactions related to facility offerings; maintains all transaction history for all processed transactions; balances daily receipts deposits and maintains critical cash controls.4. Responsible for monitoring and oversight of all aspects of facility operations, including rentals, fitness classes, and other offerings.5. May assist patrons with other Parks and Recreation transactions or needs.6. Responsible for opening and/or closing of facility and related services.7. Responsible for general maintenance and custodial needs of facility and ensuring safety with regard to environmental conditions at the facility.8. Responsible for maintaining records and files related to facility operations as assigned.9. Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures.10. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.11. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR.12.
