Job summary

LaSalle Corrections is seeking a Security Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and direct security operations at the facility. The role involves staff training, performance evaluation, and implementing organizational and personnel changes as approved by leadership.

Responsibilities include budget assistance, development of security policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations while supervising food service, laundry, property, and security functions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience required, three (3) of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
• Certification as a county jailer required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct security functions for the facility.
• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and implement organizational and personnel changes as approved by the Assistant Warden and HR.
• Assist in budget preparation; monitor and control expenditures.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs affecting security.
• Direct training, counseling, and security of inmates and staff; supervise staff assignments for food service, laundry, property room and security.
• Review reports for hearings and inmate records; monitor rehabilitative prospects.
• Assist in staff selection; ensure compliance with regulations and directives.
• Promote positive social skills and provide feedback on procedures.
