Job summary

Edgesource Corporation is seeking a seasoned Facility Security Officer to lead the industrial security program, maintain the FCL, and support classified contracts. You will manage personnel security, document control, and liaison activities with DCSA and customer security offices.

This role requires extensive experience with NISPOM, DCSA guidance, and security systems (DISS/NBIS/ACAVS). The FSO will work in a hybrid setup, coordinating with HR, Contracts, and IT for compliance and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of industrial security experience supporting cleared federal contractors.
• Experience as FSO or AFSO with knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and industrial security regulations.
• Experience managing Facility Clearances (FCL), personnel security clearances, and DCSA inspections.
• Proficiency with government security systems (DISS, NBIS, ACAVS).
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding classified information and security compliance.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must reside in the Greater Washington, D.C. metro area.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with onsite support as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the company's Facility Security Officer and primary liaison with DCSA and government offices.
• Administer NISPOM and related security requirements.
• Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage security clearances, investigations, reinvestigations, and credentialing processes.
• Oversee classified information handling, inventories, storage, and destruction.
• Prepare for government reviews, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Administer Security Education and Insider Threat programs and training.
• Investigate security incidents and file required reports.
• Manage facility access, badges, and visitor control.
• Collaborate with HR, Contracts, IT and leadership on security initiatives.
