Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Security Guard to maintain a safe, secure environment for team members, visitors, and assets at our facility in Minnesota. You will monitor activity, control access, conduct rounds, and support daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong English communication. Prior security experience is welcome but not required, with emphasis on independence and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
• Previous security experience preferred but not required
• Strong computer skills preferred
• Ability to walk more than one mile on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and navigate stairs throughout the shift
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively under pressure, maintain a professional attitude, and demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Availability to work any shift as needed

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity to help ensure a safe and secure workplace.
• Conduct daily rounds, including checking trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and facility gates.
• Monitor and document all associate and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility.
• Answer and direct switchboard calls during off-hours.
• Process outbound loads as required.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Operate company-owned vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Perform parking lot checks daily.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, safety, and operability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility security and operations.
