Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience.
• Ability to use a computer and associated software.
• Ability to cover facility and conduct security rounds; respond to alarms or emergency situations.
• Ability to lift packages or materials weighing 10 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be prepared to work different shifts and overtime hours on short notice as needs dictate.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow guard force procedures, duty posts, and facility layout including intrusion detection and access control systems.
• Escort personnel or visitors, maintain sign-in logs, and manage badges.
• Patrol interiors and exteriors, check for hazards and violations, and document findings.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, notifying the Security Manager and authorities as needed.
• Protect sensitive materials during security checks and maintain professional appearance.
• Assist with unloading/loading and moving items within the facility.
• Perform receptionist duties using a computerized visitor control system.
