Job summary

Americold is seeking a Warehouse Sanitation Associate in Vineland, NJ to clean and sanitize food handling, packaging, storage, and processing areas. You will maintain cleanliness of warehouses, docks, break rooms, restrooms, yards, and parking areas, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and bacterial control standards.

Responsibilities include preparing and applying cleaning chemicals, storing them safely, addressing chemical spills, and adhering to OSHA, FDA, USDA, and SQF guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year related work experience.
• Ability to relate to coworkers and follow instructions; good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and safety rules.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and janitorial techniques.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize facility areas and equipment using chemicals and cleaning tools.
• Prepare cleaning chemicals and concentrations.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to standards.
• Manage chemical accidents.
• Keep grounds free of litter and hazards.
• Follow safety requirements and report hazards.
• Comply with OSHA, FDA, USDA, SQF standards.
• May monitor pest control systems and report issues.
• May wash/sweep insides of trailers/railcars.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
