Job summary

The position supports the EHS department in an industrial setting, focusing on safety compliance and program implementation across company facilities.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, and day-to-day safety guidance for management and staff, with an emphasis on OSHA regulations and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School or better.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial EHS role OR 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical or operational role within an industrial manufacturing, service, or contracting environment, with demonstrated exposure to and understanding of industrial safety programs and practices (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, nuclear, power, or similar industries)
  • Working knowledge of General Industry or Construction EHS programs and requirements, including regulatory agency regulations (OSHA, EPA, DEQ, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with OSHA and other standards at company facilities.
  • Conduct facility safety audits, observations, and walkthroughs; document findings.
  • Assist in incident investigations and case management.
  • Provide day-to-day safety guidance to management and staff.
  • Promote safe behaviors and a positive safety culture.
  • Maintain proficiency in computer programs and MS Office applications.

Job description

  • Works with EHS Specialist to support compliance with company, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards at all company facilities.
  • Responsible for conducting facility safety audits, observations, and walkthroughs, documenting findings, and helping track corrective actions.
  • Aids in implementation and maintains of facility safety programs, plans, and procedures as directed by the EHS Specialist and Safety Department.
  • Provides day-to-day support to management and employees on safety requirements and compliance related matters.
  • Responsible for assisting the Safety Department in incident investigations, case management, and corrective actions, including incidents that happen afterhours.
  • Able to work collaboratively with staff and management to complete various Safety Department duties, projects, and initiatives.
  • Promotes safe behaviors to help drive a positive safety culture across all levels of the workforce.
  • Duties and responsibilities can change from time to time based on business needs, customer demands or other industry or job-related circumstances
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to support safety compliance
