Job summary

Upchurch, a regional building engineering leader, seeks a Facility Performance Engineer to optimize performance across multi-site service agreements. You will oversee operational, financial, and customer metrics while coordinating HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building automation work with internal teams and external vendors.

The role emphasizes data analytics, lifecycle cost assessments, and proactive problem solving to ensure profitability and reliability across customer facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, building science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in HVAC, facility operations, mechanical construction, building automation, energy services, or technical project management.
• Strong Excel and business software proficiency.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, invoices, and project financials.
• Excellent written, verbal, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day performance of facility service agreements.
• Develop budgets, cost forecasts, cash-flow projections, and profitability reports.
• Monitor expenses including labor, materials, subcontractors, and repairs.
• Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, controls, and other facility issues.
• Review requests, alerts, service records, and equipment history to determine responses.
• Develop scopes of work and coordinate internal and external teams.
• Track issues from identification to verification and completion.
• Prepare customer-facing reports on performance and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain equipment replacement plans and project timelines.
