Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience may qualify as long as the computed percentage is at least 100%.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate facility conditions to identify maintenance, repair, and improvement needs across buildings, grounds, and utilities.
• Monitor contracted work to verify compliance with project specifications and required standards.
• Review technical drawings to ensure accuracy of scope and impact on facility operations.
• Assess mechanical and/or utility systems to determine capacity, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Job description

About the Position: This position is located at Kenner Army Health Clinic at Fort Lee, Virginia. Incumbent serves as a Facility Operations Specialist responsible for supporting project planning, contractor oversight, facility condition assessments, maintenance prioritization, and technical evaluations of building systems to ensure safe, functional, and compliant operations within the medical treatment facility.

Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
