Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Facility Administrator to support the Facility Administrator in developing, supervising, and implementing standards, policies, and guidelines for the facility.

You will assist in overall administration and ensure compliance with security and operations requirements. In this role you will direct department functions, supervise personnel, sustain performance, and respond to incidents on a 24/7 basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of three years’ experience in corrections or related field at mid-management level.
• Knowledge of objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements for managing a secure detention/correctional facility.
• Ability to pass ICE and DHS background checks including criminal history, DMV, employment history, and credit.

Responsibilities

• Direct all department functions, activities, and supervision of personnel.
• Directly responsible for performance control activities of the operations and safety sections.
• Ensure adequate procedures, post orders, staff training methods, equipment, and space in all operations of the security department.
• Directs the work of other employees, including hiring, evaluating, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions.
• Prepares departmental progress reports and reviews activities toward goals.
• Monitors staff effectiveness and conducts facility inspections to ensure policy compliance.
