University of Illinois Extension in Champaign‑Urbana seeks a Facility Operations Coordinator to manage operations and security for multiple sites, including the Doris Kelley Christopher Illinois Extension Center. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Strategy, Planning, and Implementation (SPI), and working collaboratively with the Director of Operations of the College of ACES, responsible for the effective management, operation, and security of multiple facilities of University of Illinois Extension, including but not limited to the Doris Kelley Christopher Illinois Extension Center. Serves as the primary facility's point of contact and operational lead, and coordinates maintenance and remodeling activities.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below: college course work in facility management, operations management, or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals one (1) year (12 months) training from a vocational, technical, or an armed forces program which includes building operations such as coordination of building maintenance, construction management, hospitality, or closely related experience. work experience which includes building operations such as coordination of building maintenance and work orders, construction management, hospitality, or closely related experience.
Working knowledge with technical and/or mechanical systems and services. Working knowledge of custodial, grounds and housekeeping operations. Basic understanding of structural, electrical, mechanical and security systems. Basic schematics reading ability. Computer skills and familiarity with Windows, MS WORD, MS EXCEL, AutoCAD, email, web browser and graphics software.
