Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Northbrook, IL, is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant Manager for a full-time, on-site role. You will assist the Facility Operations Manager to keep clubs clean, functional, and welcoming for members, while delivering exceptional service.

You’ll help run club spaces, train teammates, and provide managerial support when the Manager isn’t present, working opposite the Manager’s schedule to suit business needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/AED certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO) is required.
• Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in maintaining locker rooms, fitness floors, common areas, and amenities.
• Respond to member feedback with urgency and provide follow-up solutions.
• Assist with monthly and annual budget recommendations.
• Assist in training team members with ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Serve on the club Safety Committee to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department.
• Attend weekly department head, Operations department, and all club meetings.
• Build positive relationships with members and gather feedback.
• Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules.

• Assists the manager with monthly and annual budget recommendations
• Assists in training team members through providing on going training, coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback
• Serves on the club Safety Committee ensuring policies and regulations are in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Assists with the recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department
• Attends weekly department head, Operations department, and "all club" meetings
• Builds positive relationship with members while gathering feedback
• Coordinates and creates Operations staff schedules

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
• Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business

Preferred Requirements

• Health and fitness operations experience
• College degree in business, hospitality, or related field
• Experience with building operations

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $23.50 and pays up to $31.75, based on experience and qualifications.
