Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions seeks a full-time Facility Operator at the Pasco, WA facility to produce neat and polymer-modified asphalt oil for sale to paving and repair customers. You will work with a team in outdoor tank farm and inside lab to ensure quality and load/unload materials.

Applicants must enjoy outdoor work in all weather and be able to stand or walk long hours, lift up to 50 pounds with assistance, and learn computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to learn computer skills.
• Able to meet physical requirements and lift 50 pounds with assistance.
• Valid US driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with product testing and quality control in the lab.
• Collect and evaluate product samples.
• Enter production and quality data into reporting systems.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Conduct minor maintenance on equipment.
• Attend and participate in daily production/quality/EHS meetings.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
• Complete required training and certifications.
• Wear required PPE.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, management, transportation partners, and customers.
