Job summary

NMS is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support the corporate facilities management department in Hawaii. The role requires supervising seven staff and subcontractors, overseeing maintenance programs, and coordinating budgets.

Responsibilities include vendor oversight, project planning, emergency preparedness, and ensuring safety and compliance across facilities. Strong English communication and CMMS/BAS experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in facilities maintenance.
  • A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Advanced level experience using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Adobe.
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Preferred: airport facilities management experience.
  • Previous experience operating a CMMS and BAS system.
  • Knowledge of OSHA’s rules/regulations for maintenance & construction.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, terminology and supplies; ability to read blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of client’s facility maintenance program, including repairs, vendor oversight, project planning, weekly reporting, and leadership of direct reports.
  • Supervises a staff of seven and all subcontractor personnel.
  • Develops, implements and manages preventative maintenance programs for key systems, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manages ongoing facility projects and ensures planned scope is completed with deficiencies addressed.
  • Develops, manages and reports on maintenance budgets.
  • Evaluates, selects and manages vendors and contractors for facilities support.
  • Ensures all repairs/maintenance are performed safely, timely, and in compliance.
  • Inspects completed work orders for quality assurance.
  • Coordinates and plans emergency responses with stakeholders; communicates appropriately.
  • Demonstrates high level of customer service in written and verbal communications.
  • Subject to on call status and emergency callbacks when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Summary

To provide support to the facilities management department in a competent and professional manner. The role requires the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines with good organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of client's facility maintenance program, including the following:
  • Manage/oversee all facilities-related maintenance, repairs, vendor oversight, project planning, weekly reporting, and leadership of direct reports.
  • This position is responsible for the supervision of a staff of seven and all subcontractor personnel.
  • Develop, implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for key systems, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Manage ongoing facility projects for relevant facilities including validating that planned scope has been completed satisfactorily and is responsible for ensuring all deficiencies have been addressed.
  • Develop, manage and report on maintenance budgets.
  • Evaluation, selection and management of vendors and contractors for relevant facilities support
  • Responsible for ensuring that all facility repairs/maintenance are performed in a safe, timely, compliant manner.
  • Inspects completed work orders for quality assurance.
  • Responsible for coordination and planning for emergency responses including coordination with stakeholders and responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise, including appropriate levels of communication with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates high level of customer service in both written and verbal applications.
  • Subject to on call status and emergency callbacks whenever required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate or facilities management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience in facilities maintenance.
  • A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
  • Advanced level experience using Microsoft Office, Word, & Excel, Adobe
  • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

  • Previous experience operating a CMMS and BAS system.
  • Knowledge of OSHA’s rules/regulations for both maintenance & construction.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors and outdoors. Hot and humid conditions are normal.

Noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
