Job summary

Missionovo is seeking a Facility Manager to lead the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our physical environments in Herndon, VA. You will oversee daily operations, manage critical vendor contracts, and drive capital projects that align with our tech‑driven mission.

You will partner with IT and Engineering to ensure facility infrastructure supports lab environments and cutting‑edge systems, while championing energy efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, and/or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing facilities in a technology, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, security).
• Excellent project management, budgeting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and building services
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements for utilities, cleaning, security, and maintenance
• Develop and manage facility budgets and capital improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Implement energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart building initiatives
• Support space planning, office layouts, and expansion or renovation projects
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams to ensure facility infrastructure supports technical systems and lab environments
• Lead emergency preparedness and safety response plans
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and compliance activities

About the Role

We are seeking a Facility Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our company’s physical environments. You will be critical in ensuring that facilities operate smoothly, support technical teams’ needs, and reflect the high standards of engineering culture.
