Job summary

Missionovo is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain enterprise mission systems, applications, and secure cloud environments from Chantilly, VA. You will help automate infrastructure, improve deployment workflows, and support reliable operations across distributed platforms.

The role spans infrastructure, automation, and integration efforts to enable scalable, resilient capabilities while ensuring security and compliance in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering environments.
• Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Experience using Infrastructure-as-Code in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform services.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with relational databases in production.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, or observability solutions.
• Familiarity with version control workflows and collaborative development.
• Understanding of networking and security in enterprise environments.

About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise mission systems, applications, and cloud-based environments. In this role, you will help automate infrastructure, improve deployment workflows, and support reliable system operations across secure and distributed platforms.

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across infrastructure, automation, and integration efforts while enabling scalable and resilient capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated software delivery and deployment workflows
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Support cloud-based computing environments and platform services
• Build and maintain containerized application environments

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar
• Experience supporting relational databases in operational environments
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, or observability solutions
• Familiarity with version control workflows and collaborative development practices
• Understanding of networking and security principles in enterprise environments

Preferred:

• Experience supporting large-scale data platforms or analytics environments
• Familiarity with modern distributed system architectures
• Experience supporting microservices-based applications
• Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics workloads
• Experience mentoring team members or contributing to engineering best practices
• Familiarity with additional observability or performance monitoring tools
