SCOPE OF ROLE: The Facility Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the shelter building. They are responsible for the structured supervision of the operational staff and providing guidance for the contracted maintenance staff.
Effective Communication: Ability to convey information, as appropriate, to all individuals, including supervisor, staff, and co-workers. Uses clear, concise language to provide timely and accurate written and oral communication.
Critical Thinking: Ability to drive improvements, ranging from incremental enhancements to major shifts in direction. Anticipates change and makes the necessary adjustments to drive lasting improvements and long-term results.
Flexibility: Demonstrates an openness to new situations, adapts to changing circumstances and adjusts approaches and responses to address change related challenges.
Innovation: Develops new ways of doing things, questions conventional approaches and implements unique techniques. Encourages and promotes the exploration of new ideas and creative thinking amongst team members.
