Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to install, maintain and repair the facility's building structures and systems in a secure environment. The role requires attention to safety, supervision of inmates, and hands-on maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction required.
• Trade school courses in maintenance/construction may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of building construction and operation of building systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age: 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair physical structure of facility in line with safe/secure operations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install/repair electrical components of machinery/equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to plan.
• Oversee and track inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.
