Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance to perform preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and operate heavy machinery while following safety regulations and company standards.

The role supports continuous improvement, collaborates with teams, and ensures a safe, efficient facility environment at WM Supercenter #682 in Murfreesboro.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, clean, and repair equipment while documenting wear and repairs.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring quality and safety.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles safely.
• Order parts, track inventory, submit warranty claims, and process maintenance invoices.
• Identify hazards, report deficiencies, and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams to improve processes and support business priorities.
