Job summary

Walmart Sherman, TX location seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment, inspect and repair assets, and document activities. You will manage work orders, coordinate contractors, and ensure regulatory compliance while controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires operating heavy machinery, reading diagrams, and collaborating with teams to meet quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures per schedules.
• Inspects, cleans, repairs, and documents maintenance activities and expenses.
• Orders parts, tracks orders, and coordinates with contractors and vendors.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations and Walmart standards.
• Operates heavy machinery and leads/participates in team assignments.
