Job summary

CloudKitchens is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance across multiple sites in the DMV area. You will handle drywall, painting, tiling, shelving, and equipment installation, plus exterior upkeep. Routine HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance helps keep kitchens operational.

We value independence, reliability, and the ability to travel between sites with a valid driver’s license. Overtime is available, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites (drywall, patching, painting).
• Tiling, basic masonry, shelving, and equipment installation.
• Floor repairs and exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping).
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Travel between sites across the Greater DMV area; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation
• Floor repairs and upkeep
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites(number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater DMV area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background
• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
