Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to perform general repairs across multiple sites and conduct routine preventive maintenance on building systems. The role involves travel within the Greater DMV area, independent work, and collaboration with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of handyman or facilities experience, basic HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple sites across the Greater DMV area, troubleshoot issues, and partner with internal teams to keep kitchens operational.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
  • Drywall, patching, and painting
  • Tiling and basic masonry
  • Shelving and equipment installation
  • Floor repairs and upkeep
  • Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites(number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater DMV area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• Monday–Friday schedule
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
