Job summary

CloudKitchens in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform general repairs across multiple kitchen sites and to support preventative maintenance. The role combines hands-on work with independent execution and teamwork to keep facilities running smoothly.

You’ll handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks, travel between sites in the DMV region, and contribute to keeping kitchens fully operational. A path to growth into senior roles is highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, painting, tiling, and basic masonry.
• Install shelving and equipment; maintain floors and exterior areas.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Travel between sites in the Greater DMV area; troubleshoot day-to-day facility issues.
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.

Pay: Ranging from $20.75 - $24.75/hr + Overtime + Full Benefits

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation
• Floor repairs and upkeep
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites(number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater DMV area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background
• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
