Job summary

CloudKitchens is seeking a Field-based Facilities Technician to perform general repairs across multiple NYC-area sites, including drywall, painting, tiling, shelving, and equipment installation. You will handle preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and support site operations by troubleshooting day-to-day issues.

The role emphasizes independent work with regional teams, a 60% hands-on repair focus, and opportunity to grow into senior technician or facilities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, and painting; shelving and equipment installation; floor and exterior maintenance.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Travel between multiple site locations across the Greater New York area and troubleshoot site issues; partner with internal teams to keep kitchens operational.

Pay: Ranging from $22.00 - 26.25/hr + Overtime + Full Benefits

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:


• Drywall, patching, and painting


• Tiling and basic masonry


• Shelving and equipment installation


• Floor repairs and upkeep


• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:


• HVAC


• Plumbing


• Electrical


• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater New York area


• Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day facility issues


• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands‑on repairs and maintenance


• 25% preventative maintenance


• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience


• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems


• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, field‑based role


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience


• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi‑site environments


• HVAC/R experience or trade school background

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field-based role across the Greater New York Area


• Local travel between sites (home daily)


• Monday–Friday schedule


• On‑call rotation and overtime opportunities
