Job summary

CloudKitchens in the New York area is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform hands-on repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, painting, tiling, and shelving installation. You’ll handle preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and support site operations to keep kitchens fully operational.

This role offers a mix of independent field work with team support, opportunities for advancement into senior technician or facilities management, and overtime

Qualifications

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including drywall, patching, and painting.
• Tiling and basic masonry.
• Shelving and equipment installation.
• Floor repairs and upkeep.
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping).

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
• Drywall, patching, and painting
• Tiling and basic masonry
• Shelving and equipment installation
• Floor repairs and upkeep
• Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites (number of sites vary by region) throughout the week across the Greater New York area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background
• Field-based role across the Greater New York Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
