Excel Care at Norwood is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to uphold a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with preventive maintenance and timely responses to work orders.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and maintenance experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work well within a care setting while following infection control protocols.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance/skilled trade experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible availability (weekends/on-call as needed).
• Healthcare or long-term care experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Complete repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests from staff.
• Help maintain clean and safe common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Support seasonal tasks like snow removal and landscaping.
• Monitor supplies and tools, and report any hazards or needed repairs.
• Help with room setups, furniture moves, and facility inspections.
• Always follow safety and infection control protocols.
