Job summary

Walmart in Montgomery, IL is seeking a full-time Technician for Facility Services General Maintenance. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and managing maintenance tasks on-site at WM Supercenter #4286.

Salary ranges from $26.00 to $51.00 per hour, with shifts varying and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires operating heavy machinery and coordinating parts, vendors, and work orders while ensuring adherence to Walmart standards

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by FMCSA, in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities and equipment.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Observes and documents signs of wear and tear.
• Gathers capital expense information.
• Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
• Determines replacement needs.
• Documents preventive maintenance activities.
• Uses heavy machinery.
• Manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information.
