Job summary

Woodbine Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and support a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM), opportunities for daily pay and incentives, and a strong commitment to Passion, Respect, and Excellence in care.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of building equipment, systems and applicable codes.
• Flexible schedule including day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work across multiple trades.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Document work orders and updates using basic computer systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with resident safety in mind.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and regulations.
