Job summary

Conco Construction is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for its Facility Performance Group in Wichita, KS. The role involves daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Candidates should be able to perform small projects and communicate effectively with occupants and contractors. The position requires basic electrical skills, ability to read a tape measure, and comfort with outside work hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements.
• Basic electrical experience for facility repairs.
• Experience with installing millwork and related trims and finishes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic management programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building inspections and scheduled maintenance.
• Handle preventative maintenance and emergency facility repairs.
• Communicate needs to contractors, suppliers and occupants; provide strong customer service.
• Read blueprints/measurements and operate basic tools to complete tasks.

This opportunity is a full-time position servicing Conco’s Facility Performance Group (FPG) clients in Wichita, KS. Successful candidates must be hardwired to go above and beyond minimum expectations, while projecting a driven attitude when representing the FPG group. The right candidate will feel capable of completing small tasks, as well as, various small projects. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, daily building inspections, scheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance and emergency facility repairs while continuously maintaining our high focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Verbal and written communication, including active listening, for determining and discussing building needs and communicating these to contractors, suppliers and the occupants
• Customer service for occupant and stakeholder satisfaction
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic management programs
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to change various light bulbs and basic electrical experience
• Basic experienceinstalling millwork, installing & adjusting door hardware, commercial trim & finishes including, casing, base, FRP, wall panels, soffits, sheetrock, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to work outdoors and stand for majority of the day
• Must be able to perform tasks while walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling
