Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, Iowa, is seeking a Facility Maintenance professional to perform maintenance on production equipment, wiring, and plumbing systems.

You will read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, and mechanical components in a manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates have carpentry and plumbing skills, up to 2 years of experience, and a willingness to be trained and certified (NAPA70E).

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• NAPA70E certification required or Arcosa training provided.
• Read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Read, interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment (motors, conveyors, mechanical and electrical components).
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical breakdowns and perform 240V single-phase fixes.
• Perform complex repairs on motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Carry out basic carpentry and plumbing repairs as needed.
• Tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs.
• Wire electrical panels and install equipment from the ground up.
• Break down, repair and/or rebuild equipment as required.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Work beyond normal hours, including weekends/holidays, as needed.

Arcosa Wind Towersis now hiring a Facility Maintenance. As the Facility Maintenance, you’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards

• Perform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240v
• Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics
• Perform basic carpentry and plumbing repairs
• May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs
• Troubleshoot breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components
• Wire electrical panels
• Install equipment from the ground up
• Break down and repair and/or rebuild

What you’ll need:

• Preferred Experience: Up to 2 Years
• Certifications: NAPA70E (Arcosa will train and certify)
• Technical Skills: Carpentry and plumbing
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
