Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. in Newton, IA is seeking a Facility Maintenance professional to support production equipment and facility systems. You will use blueprints, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic carpentry to maintain and repair plant assets.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, wiring panels, basic welding, and collaborating with teams to ensure safe, efficient operations. Strong English skills and up to 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years experience preferred.
• Certifications: NAPA70E (Arcosa will train and certify).
• Technical skills in carpentry and plumbing.
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and plant systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Wire electrical panels and install equipment from the ground up.
• Perform basic carpentry and plumbing repairs; may tack weld for minor repairs.
• Break down, repair and/or rebuild as needed.
• Tackle breakdowns and ensure safe, reliable operations.

Arcosa Wind Towersis now hiring a Facility Maintenance. As the Facility Maintenance, you’ll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Job Location: Newton, IA

What you’ll do:

• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment
• Perform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240v
• Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics
• Perform basic carpentry and plumbing repairs
• May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs
• Troubleshoot breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components
• Wire electrical panels
• Install equipment from the ground up
• Break down and repair and/or rebuild

What you’ll need:

• Preferred Experience: Up to 2 Years
• Certifications: NAPA70E (Arcosa will train and certify)
• Technical Skills: Carpentry and plumbing
• Read, write and speak proficiently in English

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
