Position SummaryThis position is expected to perform facility maintenance with a certain level of knowledge in manufacturing equipment and processes as well as broad experience in general handwork. This individual will support all departments for repairs and maintenance, including our Lab, Manufacturing, Office spaces and Common areas. This individual will maintain our Maintenance systems and preventive maintenance programs. They will assist in 5S and a clean workspace.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems such as gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts, and pneumatic components.Ability to maintain HVAC systems & fume hoods by replacing belts and filters.Address any emergency calls while on the job site, particularly relating to production-sensitive itemsAbility to effectively communicate with floor operators to understand equipment-related malfunctions, failures, and general defectsInspect and replace valves, filter housings and hosesHands-on repair experience with manufacturing equipment such as mixers, valves, conveyors, pumps and material handling systems.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.Proven experience in manufacturing environment with mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.Document and record all maintenance acts through our online maintenance systemAssist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Maintain appropriate documentation such as records and reports in our CMMS system.Participate in EHS committee meetings and activities.Participate in and support SDC 5S activitiesWork with all SDC employees to achieve Vision, Mission, and Values through excellent communication and interpersonal skills, respect for others, personal responsibility and integrity, attention to detail, professionalism, and an ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
