Job summary

The Buffalo Launch Club in Ferry Village, NY is seeking a part-time Facility Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities in top condition across our clubhouse, pool, tennis courts, and grounds. The role covers routine maintenance, inspections, and coordinating with vendors to ensure safe, efficient operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to work nights/weekends

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, refrigeration, plumbing systems, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
• Available to be on call and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform season opening & closing tasks around property including our pool, tennis courts, basin, clubhouse, pavilion, patios etc.
• Maintain the grounds, clubhouse, pool, basin and surrounding structures
• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs if able
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs. Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced
• Coordinate with outside vendors for lawncare, snow removal, repairs, preventative maintenance, or regulatory needs
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
• Handle additional maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed

Job Summary

We’re looking for a part‑time Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team! You’ll make sure our facilities are operating efficiently, regularly inspect our building for any damage, and conduct routine maintenance on our equipment to keep it running smoothly.
