We are hiring Facilities Maintenance Technicians to create and maintain safe, functional spaces for our customers and staff. Responsibilities include skilled work in various trades, assisting other trade workers, snow removal, and participating in after-hours emergency responses.

About You

Ideal candidates have apprenticeship experience and are motivated by serving Denver communities. You should have:

• Knowledge of facility maintenance, equipment repair, and safety protocols.
• Problem-solving skills with initiative, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, guidelines, and work standards.
• Skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Organizational skills for managing files and records.
• Experience with snow removal equipment.
• Physical ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and use technology effectively.
• Ability to pass a background check post-offer.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Colorado driver’s license with a good record.
• Completion of a trades apprenticeship or three years of apprenticeship experience.

Additional Information:

• Position may be based at the Central Library, which offers pay parking, but employees are eligible for an ECO Pass for public transportation.
