LOCATION:

15323 Proctor Avenue, City of Industry, CA 91745

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday with occasional weekends (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

PAY RATE FOR FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN:

$31.88 - $39.00 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

The primary function of this position is to assist in monitoring the condition and functionality of our machines and buildings. This includes reviewing and updating spreadsheets to keep track of machine PMs and parts, and daily walkthroughs and inspections of our machines and facilities. Additionally, this role involves ensuring machine safety by training employees and maintaining accurate training records.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Check that all machines are ready for opening and functioning properly during operations
• Ensure machines are properly cleaned and sanitized at the end of shifts
• Perform repairs and maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure parts are in good condition
• Maintain machine PM and parts inventory spreadsheets, notify managers of low inventory
• Keep records of maintenance needs and projects, provide updates to management
• Inspect facilities for maintenance issues (floor, walls, ceiling), perform weekly perimeter and roof checks
• Perform painting and plumbing tasks as needed
• Coordinate with vendor technicians, prepare for their visits, and ensure machines are ready for repairs
• Assist with receiving and setting up new machines, inspecting for damage, and verifying parts
• Conduct employee training for equipment logs, safety certifications, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Oversee employee training programs, perform audits, and ensure proper documentation
• Coordinate with Learning & Development for training programs
• Ensure safety compliance, perform hazard assessments, and inspect machine guardings
• Conduct walkthroughs to monitor proper machine usage and safety procedures
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings, assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Provide detailed reports as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Background in manufacturing and processing environment preferred
• Proven mechanical skills and experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
• Strong organizational and time management skills

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Electrical certification (preferred)
• ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
