Job summary

ABM Industries is looking for a dependable Handyperson to support day-to-day facility upkeep across a large campus in Wilton, CT. You will perform light repairs, painting, preventive rounds, and basic maintenance to keep spaces safe, clean, and functional.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, basic tools knowledge, and strong communication. Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience.
• Good working knowledge of basic tools and painting.
• Ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing tasks within non-licensed limits.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills; documentation in CMMS.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive rounds, light repairs, painting, and minor maintenance tasks.
• Repair door hardware and replace lamps or simple fixtures within non-licensed scope.
• Escalate licensed electrical/plumbing work as needed.
• Maintain organized storage/maintenance closets and monitor consumables.
• Coordinate with janitorial and vendors; update work orders in CMMS.
• Support event setups and routine site tasks; follow PPE and safety procedures.
