Job summary

Youth Opportunity & Deep Creek Youth Academy is seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker to support the daily operations of the Deep Creek Youth Academy. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in building and grounds maintenance who want to make a meaningful impact in a residential treatment environment.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility to ensure a supportive setting for youth and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage building services including maintenance, groundskeeping, parking areas, and facility safety.
• Conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to ensure a safe, efficient, and presentable environment.
• Oversee safety and security measures, including fire, burglary, and facility closures.
• Monitor and maintain close circuit security systems and access card operations.
• Support program managers by identifying and coordinating maintenance projects and repairs.
• Track and maintain facility fire and health inspections and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.
• Direct contractor activities related to facility maintenance, equipment, and grounds.
• Maintain a high standard of role model behavior for youth.
• Participate in training and development activities as required.
