North Slope Borough seeks a maintenance technician to perform routine HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facilities repairs on the North Slope.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, plus two years of combined carpentry, mechanics, electrical and plumbing experience; a valid Alaska driver’s license; and be able to pass background checks. This role may require non-traditional hours, on-call status, and adherence to safety policies.
Summary or Purpose
Perform routine maintenance on facilities and grounds including carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.

Protect self, co-workers and consumers by following policies and procedures to prevent the spread of blood borne and/or airborne diseases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies and procedures.
Applicant must pass a criminal history background check conducted by the State of Alaska Background Check Unit;
Documentation that the individual is free from active pulmonary tuberculosis.
