Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of combined work experience in carpentry, mechanics, electrical, and plumbing preferred.
• Valid Alaska Driver's License required; must meet borough insurance criteria.
• Ability to pass FBI fingerprint background check within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and security systems.
• Repair physical structures and perform basic carpentry and electrical work.
• Inspect facilities, equipment and grounds for repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Use power tools and department equipment for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain records and inventory/receiving reports.
• Perform janitorial duties and respond to work orders.
• Follow all safety standards and procedures.
